Brain Safety and Fitness
Since 1992, Pilot International has worked in the area of brain-related service. In 2013, Pilot narrowed its focus to Brain Safety & Fitness as the majority of our clubs were working in this area.
Youth Development and Leadership
In 1952, Pilot began to recruit youth volunteers through the established Anchor Clubs, a volunteer service organization for young people.
Caring for Families in the Time of Need
In 2013, Pilot International introduced the “Pick Me Ups” initiative for Family Caregivers that seeks to promote awareness of the unique needs of these special individuals.

The first District Convention was held in Miami in 1935. Velma Sutherland (Panama City) was our first elected Governor.
By 1941, Florida District with 14 clubs, led Pilot International with the largest number of clubs in any district. When the district celebrated its 20th anniversary in 1948, it still led with 23 clubs.
In 1968 Florida was the first district in the history of Pilot International to have 3 Lt.
